YuGiOh! Rate/fix my deck? Okay. This deck will not be used as a deck for a tournament. It is a deck for me to simply duel my friends and locals. This deck has been through many revises. Each time, I tried to add a new strategy. It got to the point where there were too many strategies. Too many cards supporting others and some cards ending up as a dead draw. So, I thinned out the deck. Took the back bones of it and built back around it.Monsters (15):Uria, Lord of Searing FlamesIron Chain Repairman(3) Iron Chain Blaster(3) Iron Chain Coil(3) Iron Chain SnakeLava GolemSummoner MonkCannon Soldier MK-2Mask of DarknessSynchros (8):Iron Chain DragonStardust DragonAncient Fairy DragonBlack-Winged DragonBlack Rose DragonRed Dragon ArchfiendThought Ruler ArchfiendX-Saber WayneSpells (9):Restructer RevolutionDark Snake SyndromeMeteor of DestructionHinotamaGaia Power(2) Poison ChainReinforcement of the ArmyTemple of the KingsTraps (16):Magic CylinderNightmare WheelMagical ThornGravity BindSkull InvitationCoffin SellerChain Burst(2) Scrubbed Raid(2) Dark Bribe(2) Meteor Flare(3) Tower of BabelWhen I get a secondary Iron Chain Repairman, maybe I could replace Cannon Soldier MK-2 with it?Please rate my deck from 0-100. Keep in mind, this deck was built to just duel friends and locals. As you can see, this deck was not built to, nor does it abide by the rules. Tell me if you think this deck could use some fixing; adding/removing cards. And any other opinions you may have, please let me know.@Arron - Thanks a lot for your opinion. I'll keep the Traps Tactic idea in mind.@The Brothers - It's not so much that I truly need a combo of Synchros on the field, I just like having options. I'm not sure if this was what your answer was getting to. If not, I apologize.@Brice - Thanks for the tip. It was just a random Direct Damage card that got my attention when I was putting cards in. Any suggestions for the card to replace it?@Sadman - Your answer is not only completely unnecessary, but too far away from what I was asking. I've seen the answers you given to other people's questions; all answers of which were rude and seemed to contain essence that you have no idea what you're talking about. I've seen you're page, and the fact that you've added some Yahoo! Answers' top contributors, specifically those who are well with questions regarding YuGiOh!, to your contacts just makes you look like that much more of a doochebag; it does not make you look like you know what you're talkin@Sadman - talking about. To answer the question you posted, asking for people to give their cards to you, are you nuts or do you play with LSD like it's water? I never want to hear deck advice from you again. I will never e-mail you. And no. You cannot have my cards you ill minded, little cheapskate. I don't think you're a champion from New York; the fact that it doesn't appear that you can spell just supplies evidence. If you have any experience with YuGiOh! in the past and you're only this far with thinking about how to tactically play your cards, I suggest you find another game to abuse before someone finds a crowbar and decides to go Gordan Freeman on you. .Have a nice day.
87/100 Pretty Accurate Deck For Challenging the locals. Just don't use it in tournaments. Also Try Building up a Good Trap Tactics.

Not bad but you should take out Restructer Revolution. That card isn't worth using unless all of your cards do direct damage.

Should I be responsible for the carpet my roommate ruined? I rented an apartment w/ a guy and we had discussed rules. He agreed to abide by them. No under age drinking, no drugs etc. Well it wasn't 2 weeks and all that was happening. It was like the drunk living with the monk. After countless nights of no sleep cause of loud noise etc. and some drunk friend of his wanting to kick my ass. I left moved out the next day. I lived there for 21/2 months. Had a 7 month lease. Told the Apt Mgmt. and I was doomed to pay my part of the rent. But then my roommate found another guy to pay my part of the rent. At the end of the lease they moved out but destroyed the carpet. Now the Apt. Mgmt. want me to pay for 1/2 the carpet. I nor the Apt. Mgmt. can not find my old roommate. Doesn't return our calls. Do I have any legal recourse for not being liable for the carpet. My name was still on the lease but they know I wasn't living there. This is in Texas. Appreciate any input. The apt. people would not allow me to take my name of the lease.
If you are the tenant of record, you are responsible for the damage, I'm sorry to say.I'm not a lawyer, but I'm pretty sure.

in theory.no, but legally, you are.sorry. Since your name was still on the lease agreement, you are legally bound by it.take it as a lesson learned the hard way about picking rommates.good luck!

Yes you are unfortunately responsible to pay it because you stayed on the lease. We had the same problem years ago (we're in TX too) and long after moving out of there got a bill to replace carpet and other damages. Same thing they knew we weren't living there but my ex never got his name off the lease so he had to pay it.

IF you left your name on the lease AFTER the new person moved in, you are legally liable. (Should have gotten the lease changed.)HOWEVER, you can ALSO sue both this person and your prior roommate to recover the cost of repair.Sounds like you didn't even know your roommate before. Bad deal all around!!

Un ballo in maschera by Verdi

instrumental solos in opera? I'm trying to write a list of famous instrumental solos in opera arias/ensembles/orchestral interludes. Here's what I've come up with so far:Verdi's Un Ballo in Maschera - Morro, ma prima in grazia (cello solo), Eri tu (flute solo)Verdi's Ernani - Oh, De' Verd'anni Miei (cello solo)Verdi's La Forza del Destino - O Tu Che in Seno Angeli (clarinet solo)Verdi's I Lombardi Act Three trio (violin solo)Verdi's Rigoletto - Cortigiani, vil razza dannata (cello solo)Verdi's Il Trovatore - Il Balen (clarinet solo)Verdi's La Traviata - Ah forse e lui (clarinet solo)Verdi's Aida - O patria mia (oboe solo)Donizetti's Don Pasquale - Povero Ernesto (trumpet solo)Donizetti's L'Elisir d'Amore - Una Furtiva Lagrima (bassoon solo)Donizetti's Lucia di Lammermoor - Mad Scene (flute solo)Puccini's Tosca - E luceven le stelle (clarinet solo)Massenet's Thais - Meditation (violin solo)Does anybody have any additional ones that I can include? Thank you!

The tuned anvils in Rheingold, when Wotan goes down to Nibelheim, representing the misery of the Nibelungs working on the gold.

You've got all the big ones. With my limited opera knowledge I can only add these two:Verdi's Othello - Act IV Scene 3 begins with a bass solo. The overture to Benvenuto Cellini by Berlioz has an English horn solo.I seem to recall something in La Fille du Regiment by Donizetti, though I may just be remembering the ridiculously high Cs in A Mes AmisHopefully Alberich sees this question as he really knows opera.

Thank you "joshuach."; you're much too kind. I know a little about the Wagnerian operas, but certainly not an authority on any of the other operatic composers; but, here goes! I have nothing to add regarding Verdi: you've pretty much covered him. Here are some by other(non-Wagnerian) composers:Pietro Mascagni: "Intermezzo" from "Calvaria Rusticana": youtube.com/watch?v=Xvdig4N0bpkCamille Saint-Saens: the "Bachanalle" from "Samson et Delilah": youtube.com/watch?v=YPgknqBXg8Y Now to the Wagnerian operas(music-dramas):"Festival March" from "Tannhauser": youtube.com/watch?v=dytT5OnXU0AElsa's Procession to the Cathedral, Act II "Lohengrin": youtube.com/watch?v=wu3x_F06JlQ The first segment of this clip is the decent into "Nibelheim" by Loge and Wotan, from "Das Rheingold") ("entre acte" between scenes II and scene III): youtube.com/watch?v=cCXxr44gh0UThe famous intro. to Act III from "Die Walkure"(no need identifying it): youtube.com/watch?v=1aKAH_t0aXA"Forest Murmurs" from Act II of "Siegfried"(a slow starter and low volume - might want to max. it): youtube.com/watch?v=08vTtu4pmjk"Siegfried's Funeral March" from Act III "Die Gotterdammerung": youtube.com/watch?v=f27SlOFJ55MThe masterfully unique into. to Act III of "Tristan und Isolde": youtube.com/watch?v=Zq9U8oL7D04"Dance of the Apprentices" Act III of "Die Meistersinger": youtube.com/watch?v=VbASEDYMcW8 That about covers it I think; hope they help.; sorry, but had to delete three links: only a maximum of 10 is allowed. Alberich

I'm definitely no opera expert, but one or two come to mind:Bizet - Carmen - Act III Interlude (flute solo, later also clarinet, later still cor anglais) Rossini - William Tell - Ranz des vaches (cor anglais and flute solos)Wagner - Siegfried - Act II (Siegfried's Horn Call) (horn solo)Wagner - Tristan and Isolde - Prelude to Act III (cor anglais/English horn solo)Shostakovich's 'Lady Macbeth of Mtsensk' is littered with important instrumental solos - cor anglais, bass clarinet, bassoon, celloIf I think of any more, I'll re-post as an edit.

21st Century (Flea)

What effect does Flea use on the song 21st Century to get that quacking sound? The Red Hot Chili Peppers doulble cd, Stadium Arcadium, has a song on it called 21st Century. Flea, the bassist, uses a special effect on the song to make it more funky sounding. It sounds kinda like a duck quacking. I would like to know what the effect is.

Sheet music for 21st Century (Flea) is available for downloading in digital format.

Flea uses a method of playing called "slap bass." The effects used are just compression and a little bit of reverb. Nothing out of the ordinary.

It might be on the guitar. Frusciante used hundreds of effects and editing techniques on Stadium Arcadium, I read an article about it.Edit: Nevermind, just listened to it..it is the bass. I aint sure what effect though.

it's probably an envelope filter. reverb dosn't work like that. he's playing with his fingers. go to sams ass or guitar center and try all the the fx mentioned above.i'm prett sure you'll find it,if not you'll enjoy it anyway.also try bass balls and a micro synth for bass,i'm sure you'll like them.

Why are fleas able to just hop away while ants are forced to leg it? This question is about creation versus evolution and the ramifications. Are you hopping mad at fleas for not only making you scratch all the time but also for forcing you to take a giant leap forward into the 21st Century to challenge your traditional views?Does the fact that fleas are able to jump around everywhere so quickly prove to you that the theory of evolution must be correct?Does it not show the ones that were that were able to escape the wrath of thumb and forefinger could survive to go on and perpetuate their own kind thus in the process proving the origin of the species idea to be a reliable theory?Or is there an alternative explanation that puts the spring in their step but if not then would it become fair and reasonable for one to go on and suggest that many years ago at some point down the line man and flea must have shared a common ancestry?
Ooooh, I could make such a mean joke right now about God loving fleas and Christians being blood-suckers, but I shall refrain from doing so.I'm enjoying this account.

What's this movie called? Im sure some of you may have seen it. It was released in the 21st century (2000+) and the plot is about a man or spy who is sent to Iraq (or somewhere in Afghanistan) to do a job while keeping contact with a character in America. Americans are watching his movies through satellite, and he ends up falling in love with a woman during his mission. He is captured, I think during the attempt of saving her from captivity. In the end, during the last scene, he is in a bazar or some sort of flea market, in which he tells the American character that he would rather stay than return, as he has found a home, and then the satellite zooms out.
sounds like youre talking about Spy Game if I remember correctly. imdb.com/title/tt0266987/

Don't you think it's time for an update in the manger set? I envision a disabled Asian shepherd and an Indian princess among the wise guys. We need to make the Franciscan Christmas advertisement more user-friendly for the 21st Century. Any suggestions? What's in your skull? What sayest THOU?Fleas on Nervy Dad!Now Matthew, I want you to try this for me. Think before you type, think before you type. Why would an evolutionist find a manger scene useful? We want to be more inclusive to reach as many souls as possible. Think hard, about all the other things that have changed since the 13th Century. Perhaps the Manger Scene is overdue for an over-haul.
You know why nativity scenes have plastic figures? Too hard to find real wise men and a virgin these days.

<>That all depends on what you mean when you say "update"?Somehow, I get the feeling you really mean "change", rather than "update".NO, the manger does NOT need change.< Century. Any suggestions?>>Leave the manger the way it currently is - Theologically Correct.

Is there anything I can purchase to aid my cat's hair regrowth? We've recently found fleas on our pets. We treated them all with Frontline Plus and cleaned the home inside out, but, we're still finding fleas on one of our bigger, long-haired cats. So, we shaved him from neck to butt. We're hoping his hair grows back - he looks so pitiful lol.***How long does it take for a cat's hair to grow back?**Is there anything over-the-counter or prescription we can buy to aid his hair regrowth? We've been giving our dog (a once very shedding pug) 21st Century Shed-less Plus (Level 3) from PetSmart and it works great! Her coat is shiny and within a couple of days she didn't shed at all - I love the stuff.*Is there something like that I can buy for my poor shaved cat? He has never had an issue with shedding (hairballs is his issue), but he looks so sad without his long hair lol.
I do not know of any product that is marketed for hair growth and really don't think that one would work.My cat was shaved about a month ago due to an injury. Although the hair is definitely growing back, it's only half the length of the hair around it. She has medium length hair.

Don't worry about trying to buy something to make his hair grow, it will come back fast enough. Our kitten had to be shaved and really didn't shed until about four to six months later (sorry, this was several years ago and that's about as accurate as I can be). Enjoy this wonderful time of decreased hairballs, goodness knows I am tempted to shave him sometimes to get back to those puke free days!

i dont think theres anything u can buy to help the hair grow back, my vet suggested a coupld of drops of cod liver oil on food once a day to help keep the coats and skin in good condition, his coat will grow back in time,

Hi Alicia. generally hair regrowth on cats is a slow process, but it will fully grow back. On average hair growth takes up to 3-5 months. Applying anything topically on the cat's skin/new hair growth actually may inhibit the growth process. Cats frequently self-groom and thus would ingest the product off any portion of the hair that's growing back which could also slow the process further.
