Where can I find classical music to download on the internet for school? My professor suddenly decided that she would pretend we've been listening to classical music all semester, and now I have to find and listen to a set of songs, recognizing them immediately by ear.The songs are:Mozart Symphony #40 Eine Kleine Nachtmusik RequiemBeethoven 5th Symphony String Quartet in C Minor, Op. 18, No. 4 IVHaydn Trumpet Concerto in E Flat Major III Symphony No. 94 in G Major (Surprise)Those might not be accurate titles (I already corrected a few spelling mistakes that she made) but I'm pretty sure these are all pieces that are no longer copyrighted. So, does anybody know of any places I can find all of these to download and study? Is there a database of classical music for students like me? (I would rather not have to stream them)
If you're referring to sheet music/scores, sorry, can't help you. If on the other hand, you just want to listen to/perhaps "watch" performances of, then you can't beat You Tube, and it's FREE. Here's a video of Mozart's "Symphony #-40"(you can listen to all four movements, but will entail browsing and selection): youtube.com/watch?v=uXwkue2IJnM&feature=PlayList&p=0188AA36A51C3018&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=30 There are literally 1,000s of classical music videos on You Tube; here's one of a really rousing perforamce by a great conductor and orchestra: youtube.com/watch?v=U-JjNJAkBZc&feature=PlayList&p=60B8E6A73BEDBB32&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=17 Alberich

Not exactly sure what it is that you want help with? Why don't you elaborate in Add Details? Alberich

?????????????, What do you need? These are all quite different and easy to recognize even if you don't listen to classical music often.... hints: • the Hallelujah chorus will have a chorus of people singing "Hallelujah"• La donna è mobile will have (Luciano Pavarotti, no doubt) singing "La donna è mobile, Qual piuma al vento..."• The Maple Leaf Rag ... sounds like ragtime ... 99.99% it'll be on piano only.• Ferde Grofé's "On the Trail" from the Grand Canyon Suite ... really sounds western ... complete with the donkey brays.• The Haydn Trumpet concerto will have the trumpet ... at least if they get you about a minute into the thing.... well there's fifty percent of your quiz. I'm sure you'll figure the rest are just as easy.
